ENPA, representing publishers of newspapers and news media in Europe, announced today the re-election of Carlo Perrone as President, along with Bruno Pachent and Valdo Lehari jr. as Vice-Presidents. They have been re-elected during ENPA’s General Assembly which took place in Brussels today.
ENPA President Carlo Perrone said: “It is a great honour for me today to be re-elected as President of ENPA, which, since its creation in 1961, defends and advocates strongly for press freedom, editorial independence and to ensure that all citizens across Europe participate to the democratic debate. These values must remain at the heart of the European and national priorities, especially at a time where Europe is facing many challenges, whether economic, social or political.”
Carlo Perrone has been the President of ENPA since 2016. He is Board member of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A and a member of the Chairman’s Committee of the Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FIEG).
Bruno Pachent has been the Vice-President of ENPA since 2016. He is Executive Director of Média Sud Europe
Valdo Lehari jr. has been the Vice-President of ENPA since 2014. He is CEO and Publisher of Reutlinger General-Anzeiger Verlag in Germany.
The European Newspaper Publishers’ Association (ENPA) is the largest representative body of newspaper publishers across Europe. ENPA advocates for 14 national associations across 14 European countries, and is a principal interlocutor to the EU institutions and a key driver of media policy debates in the European Union.
