Carlo Perrone is an Italian Publisher born in 1956. Until 2014 he owned 100% of leading daily newspaper of Genova and Liguria, Il Secolo XIX, one of Italy’s larger regional dailies.
Since 2015 Il Secolo XIX has merged with La Stampa of Torino, creating a new, much larger and stronger multimedia group with a dominant position in North West of Italy: Italiana Editrice SpA.
Carlo Perrone has been the President of ENPA from 2016 to 2020. He is Board member of GEDI Gruppo Editoriale S.p.A and a member of the Chairman’s Committee of the Italian Federation of Newspaper Publishers (FIEG).
Mr Carlo Perrone is now Vice-President of Italiana Editrice (President is John Elkann, Chairman of Fiat Chrysler Automobile).
He is currently board member of the World Association of Newspapers (WAN). Also, Executive Board member of Ansa (Italian national news agency).
Mr. Perrone is a member of the International Advisory Board of Sotheby’s.
